E 497 is a liquid, wax-based releasant expressly designed for room temperature molding of reinforced fiberglass polymers, FRP, Polyesters, Vinyl Esters, Epoxies, rigid and semirigid PU foams.It is suitable for application on Metal, Resin, wood and silicone moulds.

The E 497 is a highly specialized waxed based, mould release agent for use in combination with Polyurethane Elastomeric resins for casting / prototyping applications such:

· Mould making
· Critical parts to separate from the mold (large parts, models)
· Parts subjected to finishing operation after molding, like sanding, polishing, bonding, painting
· Limited productions where minimum cost and application time is required

Before casting, check that parts or molds are free of any trace of moisture (Maximum surface moisture content should not exceed 4%). Before the application of silicone\poliorethane\ etc., the prepared object has to be coated with a suitable liquid-applied mold release agent as the E 497 to avoid bonding with the mold. Apply minimum 4 coats. Wait for complete drying of each layer before applying the following one. To increase the shine, pass with a dry cloth before the release coating is completely dry. Apply by brush or spraying with an air mix spray gun with 0,3-0,5 mm nozzle.

KEEPING:

Pails should be stored in dry and cool rooms for up to 9 months. Protect the material against moisture and direct sunlight.
