Two-component epoxy resin in a 3:1 ratio for thick-layer pours of 3–5 cm. High transparency, hardness, smooth surface, gloss, and resistance to yellowing. Suitable for resin furniture, DIY, artistic floors, and crystal paintings.
Description: E301 is an eco-friendly hard epoxy resin-crystal (A+B) that can cure both at room temperature and at elevated temperature. It features high viscosity, transparency, strong adhesion without bubbles, moderate working time, high hardness, smooth surface, gloss, and resistance to yellowing. Recommended for products with a thickness of 3–5 cm.
Application areas: - Various DIY accessories - Resin furniture - Artistic products - Decorative coatings / art floors - Crystal paintings - Products with a thickness of 3–5 cm
Technical specifications: - Mixing ratio: A:B = 3:1 by volume - Appearance: colorless transparent viscous liquid - Viscosity: A 5000–5500, B 4500–5000 - Drying time: surface ≤ 6 h, full ≤ 36 h - Heat resistance: 87 °C - Hardness: Shore D 85–92 - Dielectric strength: 22 kV/mm - Shrinkage: 0.1–0.3% - Pot life: 90 minutes at 25 °C (for 100 g of mixture) - Curing: 60 °C — 2 hours; at room temperature — 10–12 hours - Application conditions: temperature 5–35 °C, humidity 30–75%, good ventilation - Suitable substrates: wooden furniture, floors, photo frames, samples, accessories, etc. - Tool cleaning: solvent immediately after use - Shelf life: 12 months - Storage: dry, cool, well-ventilated place, away from heat and fire, keep the container tightly closed
Important: Before use, check component A for sediment and mix thoroughly. Store at 25 °C and humidity < 70%, protect from light. Component B easily absorbs moisture, so the jar must be tightly closed. After mixing, the resin gradually thickens and releases heat. The more mixed at one time, the faster the reaction and the shorter the working time. Work with goggles and personal protective equipment, ensure ventilation, avoid prolonged contact with skin.
⚠️ IMPORTANT! Casting thickness ≠ casting volume !!! DO NOT CONSIDER ONLY THE LAYER THICKNESS — TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE SURFACE AREA AND THE TOTAL VOLUME OF RESIN!!! The maximum casting thickness of up to 10 cm does not mean that HL-310 can be poured in a 10 cm thick layer on a surface of any size.
During polymerization, epoxy resin generates heat. The larger the amount of resin poured at one time, the higher the risk of excessive self-heating.
When pouring large areas, even a relatively thin layer can contain a large amount of resin. If the casting volume is too large, the temperature inside the layer can rise sharply, which may lead to:
overheating and “boiling” of the resin;
formation of a large number of bubbles;
cloudiness;
waves and surface deformation;
damage to fillers and the wooden base;
uneven curing.
For large volumes and massive castings, we recommend using HL-521, or pouring HL-310 or E-301 in several layers, with a maximum thickness of 20 mm per layer.
